Let Them (the Children) Grow

I just read a shocking news about a poor girl (8 yo) died caused by internal bleeding at her "first night" with her husband (40 yo) after their sexual intercourse. Here are the articles:
Malam Pertama Bunuh Pengantin Bocah di Yaman
Yaman akan Larang Pernikahan Anak

As I read through the articles, that incident happened because of economy reason. Parents in Yaman used to sell the children to be married to a rich man for they cannot afford to raise the children or because they want the money from the "buyer" of the child.
I know this might be a little cliche situation that we used to hear nowadays. Even in Indonesia, parents are selling the children in many ways just to survive.

Those facts are really really heart-breaking. Those facts are far far away from how the children should be treated as stipulated in Convention on the Rights of the Child. That Convention is like a goal or a dream. But then how can we reach that dream? It will take a lot of efforts and involvement of every single person related with the child. Not only the government, especially the parents.
I'm angry inside. Not to the situation that force the parents to do that, but to everyone involved in those schemes who does not want to use their conscience.

Those children need protection
Those children need love
Those children need to be sure that they have better future
Just please..let them grow normally
